Kathal Ke Kebab | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

Delicious flavourful kebabs made with jackfruit.

KATHAL KE KEBAB

Ingredients

1 small jackfruit (kathal), peeled, peeled, cut into pieces and boiled
3 tsps red chilli powder
½ tsp turmeric powder
1½ tsps garam masala powder
Salt to taste
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 tbsps chopped fresh mint leaves
4 tbsps chopped fresh coriander leaves
2-3 green chillies, finely chopped
2 tbsps roasted gram flour
Oil for shallow frying
Onion rings for garnish
Micro greens for garnish
Green chutney to serve

Method

1. In a bowl, add raw jackfruit and mash it well.
2. Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, salt, onion, fresh mint, fresh coriander, roasted gram flour. Mix it till well combined.
3. Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into kebabs. Set aside.
4. Heat sufficient oil in a non-stick pan, place the prepared kebabs and shallow fry till golden and crispy. Drain on an absorbent paper.
5. Garnish with onion rings, micro greens and serve hot along with green chutney.
