Keema Pav, a classic dish made with minced mutton will make your mouth water especially if had with fresh pavs. Though typically a breakfast dish, it can be eaten at any time of the day!

Ingredients

500 grams mutton mince (keema)
3-4 tablespoons oil
2 medium onions, finely chopped
½ teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon coriander powder
½ teaspoon cumin powder
1 teaspoon garam masala powder
1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
Salt to taste
1 cup tomato puree
1 tablespoon chopped fresh coriander leaves
1-2 green chillies, finely chopped
½ cup frozen green peas (matar), boiled
Pav for serving

Method

1. Heat oil in a deep on-stick pan. Add onions and sauté till golden brown.
2. Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder and sauté on low heat for 1 minute.
3. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for 1 minute. Add mutton mince and salt, mix and cook for 5 minutes.
4. Add tomato puree, 1 tablespoon coriander leaves and green chillies, mix, cover and cook on medium-low heat for 15-20 minutes.
5. Add green peas, mix and cook for 2-3 minutes.
6. Serve hot with pav.
