KESAR PISTA CHAI

Ingredients

Few strands of saffron + for garnish
Blanched and peeled pistachios for garnish
400 ml milk
5 green cardamoms
2½ tbsps tea leaves
1½ tbsps sugar

Method

1. Boil milk in a non-stick deep pan. Remove and set aside.
2. Boil 2 cups water in another non-stick deep pan. Crush and add green cardamoms, tea leaves and sugar. Let it boil for a minute.
3. Add few saffron strands and boil for a minute.
4. Add the boiled milk and boil the tea till it becomes frothy.
5. Strain and transfer the tea in serving cups. Add the froth on top.
6. Serve hot, garnished with pistachios and saffron strands.
