A quick recipe with moong beans and sour yogurt, healthy and delicious for a simple weekday lunch. Serve hot with rotis or steamed rice.KHATTA MOONGIngredients1 cup whole green moong, soaked overnight and pressure cooked for 1 whistle1 tbsp ghee1 tsp cumin seeds3-4 curry leaves2 green chillies, slit¼ tsp asafoetida (hing)¼ cup sour curdSalt to taste½ tsp turmeric powder1tsp red chilli powder1 tsp coriander powder1 tsp chopped ginger1 tsp chopped garlicChopped fresh coriander leaves for garnishFresh coriander sprigs for garnishMethod1. Heat ghee in a deep non-stick pan, add cumin seeds, curry leaves, green chillies and asafoetida. Mix well. Sauté for a minute on medium heat. 2. Add green moong and mix well. Add sour curd, salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and coriander powder. Mix well. Add ginger and garlic. Mix well. Sauté for a minute.3. Add sufficient water and mix well. Cook for 5-6 minutes on medium heat or till it boils.4.
