A completely new way of making upma with the classic Macaroni pasta. MACARONI UPMAIngredients2 cups macaroni pasta, boiled1 tbsp oil½ tsp mustard seeds1 tsp split, skinless black gram5-6 curry leavesA pinch of asafoetida1 medium onion, finely chopped1 medium tomato, finely chopped¼ cup blanched green peas1 small green chilli,chopped1 tbsp chopped fresh coriander leaves + for garnishSalt to tasteMethod1. Heat oil in a deep non-stick pan, add mustard seeds and saute till it splutters. Add urad dal, curry leaves, asafoetida and onion. Sauté till it turns golden brown.2. Add tomato andsauté till it turns pulpy. Add green peasand mix well.3. Add green chilli and sauté for a minute. Add macaroni pasta and sprinkle little water. Mix well. Add coriander and sprinkle some water. Mix well.Cover and cook on medium heat for 6-7 minutes or till cooked. Add salt and mix well. Sauté for a minute.4.
