MACHER CHOPIngredients300 gms rohu fish, cut into 1 inch piecesSalt to taste½ tsp turmeric powder3 tbsps mustard oil2 medium potatoes, boiled2 green chillies chopped½ cup chopped coriander10-15 raisins2 tsps bhaja masala1 medium onion chopped1 cup breadcrumbs2 eggs Tomato ketchup for servingMethod1. In a bowl take fish add salt, turmeric powder and mix well.2. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a nonstick pan and fry the fish from both the sides till done. Set aside to cool.3. In another bowl mash the potatoes, add green chillies, salt, coriander, raisins and bhaja masala. Mix well and set aside.4. Add onions to the same pan and sauté till golden brown in colour.5. Remove the bones from the fish and add to the potatoes. Add onions and mix well.6. In a bowl break eggs and in another deep bowl take breadcrumbs.7. Divide the mixture in equal portions and shape them into tikkis. Dip in egg and then coat it with breadcrumbs. Set aside.8. Heat remaining oil in a nonstick tawa and shallow fry the chops till golden brown in colour on both sides. Drain on an absorbent paper and set aside.9. Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
