The dry ice used in this mocktail drink was food grade dry ice and the mocktail is completely safe to drink. But don't consume dry ice directly with your mouth as it may seriously harm you anywhere from the mouth to the stomach until it evaporates.

The food grade dry ice or edible dry ice was available at your local ice depot.

SMOKEY MOCKTAIL

INGREDIENTS:

For Sweet & Sour Syrup
Sugar - 1/2 cup
Water - 1/2 cup
Lemon juice - 1/2 cup

For Mocktail
Blue curacao syrup - 30 ml
Ice cubes - 4 to 5
Sweet & sour syrup - 15 ml
Mint leaves - few
Food grade dry ice - 3 cubes

METHOD:

Making of Sweet & Sour Syrup
1. Add 1/2 cup sugar to a saucepan. Let's add 1/2 cup water and boil them until sugar dissolves. Let it cool and mix it with a half cup lemon juice. Your sweet & sour syrup is ready.

Making of Mocktail
1. Take a shaker jar and add 30 ml blue curacao syrup, 4 to 5 ice cubes, few mint leaves. Close the jar tightly and shake them well until all the mint leaves are crushed.

2. Pour it to a mocktail glass and let's add 3 cubes of edible dry ice to it. Fill the glass with soda and mix them well. Consume the drink with a straw.
