Makai Murgh Keema | Cooksmart | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

Chicken keema is a wonderful nutritious and healthy dish. Chicken is cooked with corn, onion, garlic, tomatoes and spices which gives this dish a great flavor.

MAKAI MURGH KEEMA

Ingredients

1 cup corn, boiled
2 cups chicken mince
2 medium onions
2 tbsps oil
1 tsp cumin seeds
2 green chillies, chopped
1 cup yogurt
1 tsp cumin powder
2 tsps coriander powder
Salt to taste
2 tbsps ginger-garlic paste
½ tsp garam masala powder
1 tbsp roasted and powdered dried fenugreek leaves (kasoori methi)

Method

1. Chop onions roughly.
2. Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds and saute till they begin to change colour. Add onions and saute till lightly coloured.
3. Add green chillies and saute. Add chicken mince and ½ cup yogurt and mix, mashing lightly.
4. Add cumin powder, coriander powder, salt and boiled corn and mix well.
5. Add ½ cup yogurt and ginger-garlic paste and mix. Add garam masala powder and powdered dried fenugreek leaves and mix well.
6. Cover and cook on low heat for 10-15 minutes, stirring in between a couple of times.
7. Serve hot.
