Makhmali Paneer Tikka | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

Tender paneer coated with delicious cheese yoghurt marinade and grilled to perfection.

MAKHMALI PANEER TIKKA

Ingredients

1½ tbsps fresh cream
400 grams cottage cheese (paneer), cut into 1½ inch thick cubes
2 tbsp grated cheese
2½ tbsps hung yogurt
1½ tbsps gram flour (besan)
½ tbsp ginger-green chilli paste
Salt to taste
1 tsp dried mango powder (aamchur)
400 grams cottage cheese, cut into 1½ inch thick cubes
1 medium capsicum, cut into 1½ inch cubes
1 medium red bell pepper, cut into 1½ inch cubes
1 medium yellow bell pepper, cut into 1½ inch cubes
Green chutney to serve
Onion rings to serve

Method

1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
2. Add cheese, yogurt, cream, gram flour, ginger-green chilli paste, salt,dried mango powder in a bowl. Add little water and mix well.
3. Add paneer cubes, capsicum, red bell pepper and yellow bell pepper. Mix well. Set aside to marinate for 30-40 minutes.
4. Insert the marinated items in skewers and place the skewers in a greased baking tray.
5. Bake in a preheated oven for 10-12 minutes.
6. Serve hot with green chutney and onion rings.
