INGREDIENTS
1. Green Mango - 1
2. Red Gram - 1/2 Cup
3. Green Chillies - 3
4. Salt - 1 1/2 Teaspoon
5. Chilli Powder - 1 1/2 Teaspoon
6. Turmeric Powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
7. Curry Leaves - 1/2 Cup
8. Cumin Seeds - 1 Teaspoon
9. Mustard Seeds - 1 Teaspoon
10. Garlic Cloves - 5-6
11. Dried Chillies - 2

To a cooker, add 1/2 cup red gram. Wash a couple of times and add 1 1/2 cups water. Add peeled green mango pieces, green chillies and close the lid. Cook for 3-4 whistles till the red gram becomes soft. Open lid after cooker cools down. Mash the boiled gram. Add 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1 1/2 teaspoon salt or salt to taste, 1 1/2 teaspoon chilli powder and mix. Add water till required consistency is obtained. Here I added 1/2 cup water. Prepare tempering now. Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a pan. Add 1 teaspoon cumin seeds, 1 teaspoon mustard seeds. Add fried dried chillies. As dried chillies start to change colour, add coarsely grinded garlic cloves. Mix and add curry leaves after a minute. Add prepared boiled gram mixture to the tempering.
