A wholesome fish curry made with the spicy Mangalorean flavours!MANGLOREAN FISH CURRYIngredients2 medium pomfrets, cleaned and cut into darnes1 cup Kings Cook Smart Onion7-8 dried red chillies, stemmed½ up scraped coconut4-5 garlic cloves½ tsp cumin seeds2 tsps coriander seeds15-20 black peppercorns1 tsp mustard seeds2 tbsps oil2-3 curry leaf sprigsSalt to taste1 tbsp tamarind pulpCoriander sprig for garnishMethod1. Transfer Kings Cook Smart Onion in a blender jar. Add dried red chillies, coconut, garlic, cumin seeds, coriander seeds black peppercorns and mustard seeds.2. Add 1 cup water and grind to fine paste.3. Transfer the remaining Kings Cook Smart Onion in a bowl. Add ¼ cup hot water and set aside for 3-4 minutes.4. Heat oil in earthenware pot. Add curry leaves and sauté for a few seconds. Add the hydrated onions and sauté for 2-3 minutes.5. Add the prepared paste, 2 cups water and mix well. Add salt and mix. Add fish pieces and mix gently.6. Cover and cook on medium heat for 3-4 minutes. Add tamarind pulp and mix well. Cover and cook for 5-6 minutes more.7. Transfer into a serving bowl.
