Mango Kalakand Recipe - Aam ka Kalakand - Mango Barfi Recipe | Nisha Madhulika

Mango kalakand is a delicious version of the regular kalakand. Kalakand is generally prepared with milk and for mango kalakand all you need is to add the mango in the ingredients list.

Ingredients

Mango pulp - ½ cup
Sugar - ½ cup
Lemon juice – 2 to 3 tbsp
Pistachios – 8 to 10
Almonds – 5 to 6
Green cardamom – 4
Full cream milk – 1 litre

Directions

Getting ready:

1.Begin with grinding the mango pulp into smooth paste in mixer grinder. Slice the pistachios and grind the green cardamom seeds using stone grinder.

Making:


2.Boil the milk in a vessel, turn off the flame as the milk starts boiling. Keep adding lemon mixed water in small portions to the 80% warm milk until the milk coagulates. Place a sieve on a bowl covered with muslin cloth, pour the coagulated milk on the cloth. Wash the paneer with cold water and squeeze out the excess water from the paneer.

3.Take the mango pulp and sugar in a wok and cook on low flame until the sugar dissolves completely. Then add the paneer , almonds and pistachios in the wok and mix thoroughly till the mixture reaches the freezing consistency.

4.Later, turn off the flame and add crushed green cardamom in the mixture and mix well. Transfer the mixture on a greased plate and sprinkle almonds and pistachios on the kalakand mixture and press them gently. Let the mixture set. After the while, kalakand will be ready. Cut them into desired size pieces and transfer them on a plate.

Serving:

5.Serve these finger-licking mango kalakand as a dessert after any meal.
