Marsh Marigold - Edible ONLY When Cooked!

Marsh marigold (Caltha palustris) is one of the first signs of spring with its bright yellow flowers in wet soils. Native to streams, lakes, ponds, swamps and wet woodlands across Canada and many parts of the US this beautiful flower is always a wonderful sight. This plant grows in the Arctic regions of Canada as well as in some European countries.

Caution: plant juices may cause blistering or inflammation on skin or mucous membranes on contact!
