Masala Chai || Monsoon Special || IFN Quickies | India Food Network

The best way to enjoy these beautiful rains is with a steaming hot cup of some kadak masala chai. Try out this recipe today :)

Ingredients:
2 cups water
Whole ginger 1 inch
Cloves 3
Cardamom 3
Mint leaves 10 to 12
Ginger powder 3/4 tsp
Tea leaves 3 tsp
Milk 1 cup
Sugar 3 tbsp

Method:
Crush ginger, cloves and cardamom using mortar pestle.
Keep water for boiling and add crushed ingredients, torn mint leaves and ginger powder.
Bring to rigorous boil. Once boiled, reduce flame and add tea leaves.
Simmer for 5 minutes.
Add milk and sugar and simmer for 5 more minutes.
Switch off flame,cover and let flavours infuse for few minutes.
Strain and serve hot.
