Masala Fish Fry | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

Fish pieces marinated in freshly ground paste and spices, coated with semolina and fried.

MASALA FISH FRY

Ingredients

8 slices of king fish (surmai)
1 teaspoon crushed pepper
1 tablespoon coriander paste
1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste
1 tablespoon lime juice
1 teaspoon coriander powder
¼ tsp turmeric powder
1 tablespoon red chilli paste
2 tablespoon oil
½ cup rice flour
¼ cup semolina (rawa)

Method

1. To make the marinate for the fish, add crushed pepper, coriander paste, ginger garlic paste, lime juice, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chilli paste and oil in a bowl and mix together.
2. Marinate the fish in the prepared marinade and keep aside for 10-15 minutes.
3. In a plate mix flour and semolina together. Coat the marinated fish with this mixture completely.
4. Heat a non-stick pan, add oil and pan-fry the fish till golden brown or fully cooked.
5. Serve with onion rings and lemon wedges.
