MASALA PURIIngredients1½ cups dried white peas, soaked and drained 4 medium potatoes, boiled and peeled12-16 puris ¼ teaspoon turmeric powderSalt to taste2 tablespoons roasted cumin seeds (jeera), coarsely crushed1 teaspoon chaat masalaBlack salt to tasteNylon sev for sprinklingChopped fresh coriander leaves for sprinkling Method1. Pressure cook dried white peas with turmeric powder and salt in sufficient water till fully done.2. Cut potatoes into small pieces.3. Mix together cumin seeds, chaat masala and black salt in a bowl. 4. Add little water to pressure cooked white peas, mix well and bring to a boil. 5. Crack the top portion of puris and fill with some potato pieces and some cooked white peas. Sprinkle some spice mix, sev and coriander leaves on top.6. Serve immediately.
