Boiled baby potatoes tempered with indan spices and sesame seeds.

MASALA SESAME POTATOES

Ingredients

1 teaspoon white sesame seeds
1 teaspoon black sesame seeds
2 cups baby potatoes, boiled & peeled
2 tablespoons oil
2 teaspoons cumin seeds
2 teaspoons ginger, finely chopped
2 green chillies, finely chopped
1 medium onion, finely chopped
1 teaspoon red chilli powder
¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1 teaspoon garam masala
Salt to taste
½ teaspoon chaat masala
Sprinkle spring onion greens, chopped
White sesame seeds for garnish
Black sesame seeds for garnish
Chopped spring onion greens for garnish

Method

1. Heat oil in a non-stick pan and add cumin seeds, ginger, green chillies and onions. Sauté till translucent.
2. Add chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder and some water. Mix well.
3. Add potatoes and salt. Mix well. Cook for 4-5 minutes.
4. Add some water and stir. Add white and black sesame seeds and chaat masala powder. Mix well.
5. Add spring onion greens and serve hot garnished with black and white sesame seeds.
