A delicious and flavourful soup made with veggies and masoor dal.MASOOR DAL SOUPIngredients1 cup Tata Sampann Masoor Whole½ tbsp oil1 medium onion, chopped¾ cup chopped pumpkin1 medium carrot, chopped1 medium tomato, chopped½ tbsp finely chopped garlic4-5 coriander roots, washedSalt to taste1½ tbsps butter Burnt garlic for garnishChives for garnishMethod1. Add Tata Sampann Masoor Whole in a bowl and add sufficient water. Soak for 20-25 minutes.2. Heat oil in a non-stick pressure cooker, add onion, pumpkin, carrot, tomato, and garlic. Mix well and cook for 1-2 minutes.3. Break coriander roots and add to the cooker. Add soaked dal and mix well. 4. Add salt, and mix well. Add 3 cups water and mix well. Place the lid on and cook till 4-5 whistles are released. 5. Allow the pressure to settle completely. Blend the mixture using an electric hand blender till smooth.6. Add butter and mix well. Strain the soup into another pan, adjust seasoning and transfer to a serving bowl.7. Garnish with burnt garlic and chives. Serve hot.
