Green peas, cauliflower cooked with masalas and gram flourMATAR GOBHI MASTIIngredients1½ cups frozen green peas2 cups small florets of cauliflower 2 tbsps gheeA pinch of asafoetida½ tsp cumin seeds¼ tsp turmeric powderSalt to taste1 inch ginger, cut into thin strips2 tsps gram flour (besan)¾ tsp coriander powder½ tsp freshly crushed black peppercornsMethod1. Heat ghee in a non-stick wok, add and cumin seeds and saute. When the seeds begin to change colour, add cauliflower florets, turmeric powder and salt and mix well.2. Sprinkle a little water, cover and cook for 2-3 minutes.3. Add green peas and mix. Cover and cook for 2-3 minutes. 4. Add ginger strips, gram flour and coriander powder and mix well. Cover and cook for 2-3 minutes.5. Add crushed black peppercorns and mix. Cover and cook till done.6.
