Matar Paneer Pizza | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

Make your favourite matar paneer mixture and top it over pizza dough loaded with cheese. A must try recipe !

MATAR PANEER PIZZA

Ingredients

½ cup green peas (matar)
100 grams cottage cheese (paneer), cut into cubes
250 grams readymade pizza dough
1 tablespoon oil
1 teaspoon cumin seeds (jeera)
½ tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
2 medium onions, finely chopped
1-2 green chillies, finely chopped
¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
½ teaspoon red chilli powder
Salt to taste
1 teaspoon coriander powder
½ teaspoon garam masala powder
1 tablespoon chopped fresh coriander leaves + for topping
Refined flour (maida) for dusting
¼ cup grated mozzarella cheese
Melted butter for brushing

Method

1. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add cumin seeds and let the seeds change colour.
2. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute. Add onions, mix and sauté till they turn translucent.
3. Add green chillies, turmeric powder, chilli powder, salt and coriander powder, mix and cook for a minute. Add little water and mix. Add some water and mix well.
4. Add green peas and stir. Add cottage cheese, mix and simmer for a minute.
5. Add garam masala powder and mix well. Add little water, stir, cover and simmer for 2 minutes.
6. Add salt and coriander leaves and mix well. Remove from heat and cool to room temperature.
7. Preheat oven to 180̊ C.
8. Dust the worktop with some flour. Place the dough on it and flatten into a large disc. Spread the matar paneer and top with some cheese, coriander leaves and remaining cheese. Set aside to prove for 10-15 minutes.
9. Transfer the pizza on baking tray and brush the edges with some butter. Dust with some flour, put the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes.
10. Cut into wedges and serve hot.
