Mawa Khari Samosa | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

This interesting fusion recipe has the flavour of freshly baked mawa cake mixture stuffed and made into samosas using puff pastry dough.

MAWA KHARI SAMOSA

Ingredients

5-6 mawa muffins
150 grams puff pastry dough
1 tablespoon green cardamom powder
¼ cup castor sugar
Refined flour (maida) for dusting
Butter for brushing

Method

1. Preheat oven to 180º C.
2. Crush together muffins, cardamom powder and castor sugar in a bowl.
3. Dust the worktop with some flour, place the pastry dough on it and roll out into a large sheet. Brush with some butter.
4. Discard the edges and cut into squares. Place a portion of muffin mixture in the centre, bring the adjacent edge over to make a triangle and seal the edged with a fork.
5. Transfer them on a baking tray, put the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 5-7 minutes.
6. Brush with some butter, put the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 5-7 minutes more.
7. Serve immediately.
