Mutton mince balls tossed in tangy cherry sauce. A must try !MEATBALLS IN CHERRY SAUCEIngredients1 cup mutton mince24-26 canned cherries2-3 tablespoons cherry compoteSalt to tasteCrushed black peppercorns to taste1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves + as required1 tablespoon mustard sauce1 medium onion, finely chopped¾ cup dried breadcrumbs3 tablespoons oilMethod1. Blend together mutton mince, salt, crushed peppercorns, 1 tsp thyme leaves, mustard sauce, half the onions and breadcrumbs to a smooth mixture. 2. Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape into balls. 3. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add meatballs and shallow-fry till well browned from all sides. Remove from pan and set aside. 4. Add remaining onions in the same pan and sauté till translucent. Add canned cherries, cherry compote and few thyme leaves and mix well. 5. Add salt and crushed peppercorns, mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add some water, stir and cook till cherries turn soft and pulpy. 6. Blend the cherry mixture, pour in a hot non-stick pan and bring to a boil. Add fried meatballs and coat well with the sauce. 7. Serve hot.
