The spices and the rice make it a homely dish, a perfect comfort food.MIXED SPROUT PULAO Ingredients 1½ cups mixed sprouts1 cup Basmati rice, soaked 2 tablespoons ghee1 teaspoon cumin seeds (jeera)2 medium onions, sliced1 tablespoon ginger-garlic pasteSalt to taste 1 teaspoon red chilli powder¼ teaspoon turmeric powder½ teaspoon garam masala powderFresh coriander sprig for garnishingMethod 1. Heat ghee in a pressure cooker. Add cumin seeds and sauté till it changes colour.2. Add onions, mixed sprouts, ginger-garlic paste and salt and sauté on high heat for 3-4 minutes.3. Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder and garam masala powder and mix. Add drained rice and mix well.4. Add 3 cups of water and mix. Cover and pressure cook for 5-6 minutes.
