A wholesome and delicious burger prepared with a crispy moong patty, veggies and cheese. Bite on!MOONG BURGERIngredients1½ cups boiled whole green gram (moong)4 burger buns, halved and toasted½ tbsp butter1 tsp oil1 tsp chopped garlic1 tsp chopped celery1-2 green chillies, finely chopped1 medium onion, finely choppedSalt to taste2 tbsps chopped fresh parsley½ cup dried breadcrumbs2 tsps lemon juiceA large pinch of sugar¼ cup tomato ketchup½ cup hung yogurtLettuce leaves as required4 cheese slicesSliced onions as requiredTomato slices as requiredMustard sauce as requiredPotato chips to serveTomato ketchup to serveMethod1. Heat butter and oil in a non stick pan , add garlic, celery, green chilli and sauté for a few seonds.. Add onions and sauté till translucent. 2. Add salt, boiled moong and mix well. Transfer in a bowl and mash with a masher.3. Add parsley, dried breadcrumbs, lemon juice, sugar and mix well.4. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into patties.5. Heat oil in a shallow nonstick pan. Place the prepared patties and shallow fry on both the sides for 2 minutes on medium heat. Drain on absorbent paper and set aside.6. Take tomato ketchup in a bowl. Add hung yogurt and mix well.7. Apply the prepared spread on both the sides of the burger bun and place lettuce on one side. Place the patty and top up with cheese slice, onion roundels and tomato slices.8. Sprinkle salt on top. Drizzle mustard sauce and close with the remaining half of the burger bun.9.
