Twitter: https://twitter.com/ranveerbrarMOONG DAL KHICHDI RECIPEPreparation time: 15 minutesCooking time: 35 minutesServes: 4-6Ingredients1 tbsp Ghee, घी1 ½ cup Rice , चावल1 cup Moong dal, soaked , मूंग दालSalt to taste, नमक स्वाद अनुसार½ cup winter Carrots, cube, गाजरWater as required, पानी1 tsp Turmeric powder, हल्दी पाउडर½ tsp Red chilli powder, लाल मिर्च पाउडरFor Tadka2 tbsp Ghee, घी1 tbsp Oil, तेल1 tsp Cumin seeds, जीरा1 inch Ginger, chopped, अदरक2-3 Green chilli , chopped, हरी मिर्च2 large Onion, chopped, प्याजSalt to taste, नमक स्वाद अनुसार1 tsp Red chilli powder, लाल मिर्च पाउडर½ tsp Coriander powder, धनिया पाउडर¼ tsp Asafetida, हींग¼ cup French beans,chopped, फ्रेंच बीन्स¼ cup Green peas, हरी मटर1 tbsp Coriander leaves, chopped, धनिया पत्तीTo ServeGhee, घीCurd, दहीPickle, अचारPapad, पापड़Process● In a pressure cooker, add ghee, moong dal and roast well.● Add rice, salt to taste, winter carrot, water as required, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, mixwell and cover it with the lid and cook for 2 to 3 whistles.● In another kadai, add ghee, oil, cumin seeds and let it splutter.● Add chopped ginger, green chilli, onion and saute till its translucent.● Add salt to taste, red chilli powder, coriander powder, asafetida and saute well.● Add french beans, green peas saute well on medium flame.● Add cooked dal and rice and mix well until combined.● Add some water, cover and cook it for 4-5 minutes and it is ready to serve.● Garnish with coriander and drizzle some extra ghee on top. Best served with some papad, achaar and yogurt on the side.
