Button mushrooms cooked with soya chunks and masalas

MUSHROOM SOYAWADI MASALA

Ingredients

15-20 button mushrooms, quartered
1 cup soya chunks, soaked in warm water
1 tsp oil
1 bay leaf
1 cup chopped onion
1 cup chopped tomatoes
¼ tsp turmeric powder
½ tsp coriander powder
1 tsp chopped ginger
1 tsp chopped garlic
1 cup skimmed milk yogurt
Salt to taste
½ tsp red chilli powder
¼ tsp garam masala powder

Method

1. Heat oil in a non-stick wok, add bay leaf and onions and saute. Add tomatoes and saute for 2-3 minutes.
2. Squeeze the soya chunks and add. Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, ginger and garlic and mix well.
3. Add skimmed milk yogurt and mix. Add salt, red chilli powder and garam masala powder and mix.
4. Add ½ cup water and mix well. When the mixture comes to a boil, cover and cook on low heat for 15-20 minutes.
5. Serve hot with hot phulkas or chapattis.
