Three Types Of Dal Tadka’s
Firstly take Toor dal and a spoon full of chana dal, boil it and keep it aside.
Punjabi Ghee Dal Tadka:-
Ingredients:-
Ghee - 3 tsp
Red Chillies - 4-5
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Garlic(chopped)-1 tsp
Ginger(chopped)- 1 tsp
Onion(chopped)- ½ cup
Tomatoes(chopped)- ½ cup
Chilli powder - 1 tsp
Coriander - 1 bunch
Salt - As Required
Method:-
Heat ghee in a pan add Red chillies,cumin seeds,ginger,garlic,onion and saute it for sometime.Now add tomatoes,chilli powder,coriander & mix it well.Lastly add dal and adjust salt accordingly.
South Indian Dal Tadka:-
Ingredients:-
Peanut oil - 3 tsp
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Gundu red Chillies - 4-5
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Garlic(chopped)-1 tsp
Turmeric - 1 tsp
Hing - ½ tsp
Curry leaves - ½ cup
Coriander - 1 bunch
Salt - As Required
Method:-
Heat peanut oil in a pan,add mustard seeds,round red chillies,cumin seeds,garlic,turmeric,hing,curry leaves and saute it for a minute. Lastly add dal,coriander leaves and adjust salt.
VahChef’s Dal Tadka:-
Ingredients:-
Oil - 3 tsp
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Red Chillies - 4-5
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Garlic(chopped)-1 tsp
Onions (chopped) - ½ cup
Green Chillies - 3 tsp
Tomatoes - ½ cup
Chilli Powder - 2 tsp
Butter - 2 tsp
Coriander - 1 bunch
Salt - As Required
Method:-
Heat oil in a pan,add mustard seeds,red chillies,cumin seeds,chopped garlic,green chillies,tomatoes and saute it for sometime. Add water,chilli powder,Dal.Lastly add butter and coriander leaves ,adjust salt.
