Patti samosa dough stuffed with spicy onion mixture and deep fried to perfection.ONION PATTI SAMOSAIngredients 4 medium onions, sliced 8 samosa patti1 tablespoon oil + for deep-frying½ teaspoon cumin seeds (jeera) 2 green chillies, finely chopped½ inch ginger, finely choppedSalt to taste ½ teaspoon red chilli powder 1 teaspoon chaat masala½ teaspoon cumin (jeera) powder Refined flour (maida) slurry as required Method 1. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a non-stick pan. Add cumin seeds, green chillies and ginger, mix and sauté well. Add onions, mix and sauté till they turn translucent. 2. Add salt and mix. Add chilli powder, chaat masala and cumin powder, mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside to cool. 3. Place a portion of onion mixture onto individual samosa pattis and shape into samosas sticking the edges with slurry.4. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Deep-fry the samosas till golden brown and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper. 5. Serve hot with tomato kethcup.
