ONION RINGS WITH MANGO PICKLE DAL
INGREDIENTS:
Oil - As Required
Fennel seeds - ½ tsp
Ginger - 1 tsp
Garlic - 1 tsp
Onion - 3 nos
Curry leaves - 1 spring
Turmeric powder - ½ tsp
Hing - ½ tsp
Green chillies - 4 nos
Tomatoes - 2 nos
Masoor dal - 1 cup
Mango pickle - 1 tsp
Flavoring salt - ½ tsp
Baking soda - ½ tsp
Salt - as per taste
Chilli powder - 1 tsp
DIRECTIONS:
Heat oil in a pan,add fennel seeds, chopped ginger, garlic, onion Saute it till slightly transparent.
Then add curry leaves, turmeric powder, hing, green chillies, tomatoes and cook till they are soft.
Now add boiled masoor dal, salt, mango pickle and let it cook with the closed the lid on slow flame.
Take all-purpose flour in a bowl, add flavoring salt, baking soda, seasoning salt, chilli powder & mix it well make a batter.
Take onion rings coat the flour mixture, and dip the batter, coat the bread crumbs nicely. Deep fry into the hot oil golden in color.
Crispy onions rings ready to serve with mango pickle dal.
