Orange Shahi Tukda Canapes are a modern twist to a very desi mithai and a perfect way to add some fun to your Diwali menu. Try it out, you wont be dissappointed.

ORANGE SHAHI TUKDA CANAPES

Ingredients

500ml orange juice
4-5 bread slices
2 tbsps sugar
A large pinch of saffron
¼ cup ready-made rabdi
½ cup whipped cream
A pinch of cardamom powder
8-10 pistachios, blanched, peeled and slivered
Dried rose petals for garnish
Silver warq for garnish

Method

1. Toast the bread from both the side till golden colour in a toaster and cut them into roundels with help of cookie cutter.
2. Heat non-stick pan, add orange juice, sugar, saffron and mix well and Cook till the sugar melts and the syrup thickens.
3. Combine together rabdi, whipped cream, cardamom powder, mix well and fill the prepared mixture in a piping bag with star nozzle.
4. Dip the toasted bread in sugar syrup and set aside. Place the bread slice on a serving plate. Pipe out the prepared mixture on it.
5. Add pistachio, dried rose petal on top, garnish with sliver warq and serve.
