Paneer Popcorn | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

A delicious bite-sized munchie for your parties and get-togethers.

PANEER POPCORN

Ingredients

250 gms cottage cheese (paneer), cut into ½ inch cubes
1 cup dried breadcrumbs
Salt to taste
Red chilli powder to sprinkle
½ cup refined flour
Red chilli flakes to sprinkle
Dried oregano to sprinkle
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
Oil for deep frying
Chaat masala to sprinkle
Tomato ketchup to serve

Method

1. Takebreadcrumbs in a bowl. Add salt and sprinkle red chilli powder.Mix well.
2. Take refined flour in a bowl. Sprinkle red chilli flakes, salt, sprinkle oregano and ginger-garlic paste. Add sufficient water and mix well. Make a medium thin batter.
3. Heat sufficient oil in a deep pan.
4. For first coating,dip the paneer pieces in batter and then coat well with breadcrumbs. Remove in a plate and set aside.
5. For second coating, dip the paneer pieces back in batter and coat well with breadcrumbs.
6. Deep fry the coated paneer pieces till golden and crisp. Remove and drain on an absorbent paper. Sprinkle chaat masala and mix well.
7. Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
