Deep fried crispy flat puris made using refined flour commonly used for various indian chaats

PAPDI

Ingredients

2 cups refined flour
Salt to taste
1 tsp cumin seeds
2 tbsps ghee
Oil for deep-frying

Method

1. Mix together refined flour, salt and cumin seeds in a bowl. Add ghee and mix.
2. Add sufficient water to knead a semi-stiff dough.
3. Spread some oil on the work surface and roll out the dough into a thin disc.
4. Cut out small discs using a cookie cutter.
5. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai for deep-frying. Deep fry the prepared discs till golden brown.
6. Drain on absorbent paper.
7. Serve or store in an air tight container.
