Pepperoni Pizza | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

A classic, Pepperoni Pizza is the what comes to your mind when you think of pizza. The base, the sauce and the pepperoni pizza taste sinful.

PEPPERONI PIZZA

Ingredients

250 grams pizza dough
16-20 pepperoni slices
Refined flour for dusting
Olive oil for brushing
Pizza sauce for spreading
100 grams fresh mozzarella cheese, cut into thick slices
8-10 fresh basil leaves

Method

1. Dust the worktop with some flour, place the dough, knock back to release excess air and knead again.
2. Preheat oven to 180° C.
3. Divide the dough into two equal portions and roll out into large semi-thick discs, place on a baking tray, cover with a damp muslin cloth and set aside to prove for 5-10 minutes
4. Prick the proven discs using a fork and brush some olive oil on top.
5. To prepare one pizza, spread some pizza sauce, place ½ of mozzarella cheese slices, pepperoni slices and basil leaves.
6. Put the tray into the preheated oven and bake for 10-15 minutes. Remove from oven.
7. Cut into wedges and serve hot.
