Ingredients

For the Dough (optional if using store-bought dough):
3/4 cup warm water
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt

For the Filling:
1/3 cup pizza sauce
1/2 pound sliced Italian cold cuts or pepperoni
1 to 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon Italian seasonings

For the Topping:
1/4 cup melted butter
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon dried parsley

Instructions

1 In the bowl of a stand mixer, whisk together the water, sugar, and yeast. Add the flour and salt. With the dough hook, mix on medium speed until the dough comes together.

2 Transfer the dough to a lightly greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour.

3 Preheat your oven to 400F.

4 Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured piece of parchment paper and roll it into a large rectangle.

5 Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce on the dough, leaving about a 1" border around the edges. Top with sliced cold cuts or pepperoni, then sprinkle with mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning.

6 Roll up the dough in the style of a cinnamon roll. Using a serrated knife, slice the roll into 1-inch pieces and transfer the parchment paper with the slices to a baking sheet. Cover and let the rolls rise for 30 to 45 minutes.

7 In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, garlic powder, and dried parsley. Brush this mixture onto the tops of the rolls.

8 Bake the rolls for approximately 14 minutes, or until they're lightly browned on top.

9 Serve hot, with additional pizza sauce on the side if desired.
