Prawns Sukka | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

Prawns cooked in coconut oil with some dry spices. A must try !

PRAWNS SUKKA

Ingredients

1½ cups medium prawns, cleaned, deveined and washed
1 tbsp coconut oil
15-20 curry leaves
2 medium onions, chopped
1 tbsp chopped garlic
1 tsp chopped ginger
Crushed peppercorns to taste
1 ½ tsps red chilli powder
1 tbsp coriander powder
1 tsp fennel powder
Salt to taste
2 green chillies, slit

Method

1. Heat oil in a nonstick pan, add curry leaves and onions. Sauté till onions are translucent.
2. Add garlic, ginger, sauté for 1-2 minutes. Add crushed peppercorns, ¼ cup water and mix.
3. Add red chilli powder, coriander powder, fennel powder, salt, green chillies and mix well.
4. Add prawns and cook on high heat for 5-6 minutes or till done.
5. Serve hot.
