PRUNES AND PEAR CRUMBLEStewed pears and prunes topped with crumble mixture and bakedIngredients10 prunes3 pears¼ cup + 2 tbsps sugar¼ tsp grated ginger22 gms refined flour (maida)115 gms chilled butter cubesMethod1. Preheat oven to 200° C.2. Quarter pears, remove core and roughly chop them. Put the pieces in a non-stick pan. Add ¼ cup water and 2 tbsps sugar and mix and cook for 4-5 minutes.3. Halve the prunes and add to the pears in the pan. Add grated ginger and cook for 2-3 minutes more. Switch off heat and let the mixture cool. 4. Put flour in a large bowl, add butter cubes and run with finger tips till the mixture resembles breadcrumbs. Add ¼ cup sugar and mix. 5. Put the pear-prune mixture in a baking dish. Sprinkle the flour mixture over it and bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes.6.
