PYAAZ AUR TAMATAR KE BUNS

Ingredients

2-3 small onions (pyaaz), sliced
2-3 small tomatoes (tamatar), sliced
6-8 buns
1-2 tablespoons oil
2 tablespoons butter + as required
Salt to taste
1 teaspoon red chilli powder
1 teaspoon garam masala powder
1 tablespoon sugar
2 teaspoons tomato ketchup

Method

1. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add onions and saute for a minute. Add tomatoes and cook till the tomatoes turn soft and pulpy.
2. Halve each bun horizontally without cutting through, spread a little butter on one half and set aside.
3. To the onions and tomatoes, add salt, red chilli powder, garam masala powder, sugar, tomato ketchup and cook for 1-2 minutes.
4. Heat 2 tablespoons butter in another non-stick pan.
5. Fill the buns with onion and tomatao mixture and place them in the pan. Cook till crisp on both sides. Apply butter as required. Press the buns lightly and remove from heat.
6. Serve immediately.
