Quick Gajar Halwa is a twist on the normal recipe where you had to wait for hours before you could get a spoonful. The taste isn't compromised one percent in this easy to make dish.

QUICK GAJAR HALWA

Ingredients

4 medium red carrots (gajar), peeled and grated
¾ cup grated khoya
3 tablespoons ghee
½ cup condensed milk
6-8 cashewnuts, broken
¼ teaspoon green cardamom powder
¾ cup milk

Method

1. Heat ghee in a pressure cooker. Add carrots and sauté for 1 minute. Add khoya, condensed milk, ¾ of cashewnuts and cardamom powder, mix and cook for 1 minute.
2. Add milk, mix, cover and pressure cook for 8-10 minutes. Open the lid when the excess pressure is completely released.
3. Serve warm garnished with remaining cashewnuts.
