Ragi Porridge Recipe /Ragi Malt - A Holistic Breakfast Food | Finger Millet Recipes For Weight Loss | Healthy Kadai

Today I am preparing yet another very healthy and nutritious breakfast recipe Ragi Porridge. It’s a very healthy breakfast recipe in 5 minutes. Best for weight loss, diabetic people, good for digestion and a complete meal to start the day. So lets get started.

Ingredients:
Ragi Flour – 2 tbsps
Water - 1 cup
Crushed Jaggery Powder : 1 tsp (can vary as per taste, also can be avoided by diabetic people)
Flax meal – ¼ tsp (optional, added for Omega 3 fatty acids)
Chopped Fresh Fruits and crushed nuts

Method:
1. In a pan, mix water and ragi flour. Whisk it well ensuring there are no lumps.
2. Transfer the pan on flame and cook the slurry on medium flame till it starts to thicken up. Ensure ragi is completely cooked.
3. Add in jaggery powder, mix well and continue to cook. Add little water if the mixture becomes too thick.
4. Add in flaxseeds. Give a quick mix and turn off the flame.
5. Serve ragi porridge hot or warm or at room temperature.
6. Garnish with chopped seasonal fruits, few nuts and sprinkle chia seeds.
Ragi Porridge can be served to adults, kids and even small babies too so it is a versatile recipe. Do try it out !
