Hey Foodies, today we are going to make upma from rice with a tangy spicy peanut chutney. This is a easy recipe as it requires very less preparation and ingredients, perfect during the lockdown period.

Ingredients for Rice Upma and Peanut Chutney:

For Upma
Rice - 1 cup
Ghee - 2 tbsp
Mustard - 1 tsp
Curry leaves - 1 sprig
Onion - 1 chopped
Carrot - 1 chopped
Beans - 2-3 chopped
Frozen peas - 2-3 tbsp
Salt - as per taste
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
Water - 2 1/2 cups
Lemon - 1/2

For Chutney
Oil - 1 tbsp
Peanuts - 1/2 cup
Asafoetida - a pinch
Red chilli - 4
Tomato - 1 large
Salt - a per taste
Water - to grind
