Rotli Nu Shak Leftover Roti Recipe Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

ROTLI NU SHAK

Ingredients

5-6 leftover rotis
2 tbsps oil
1 tsp mustard seeds
3-4 green chillies, chopped
1 tbsps finely chopped garlic
3 medium onions, chopped
Salt to taste
2 tsps red chilli powder
1 tbsps coriander powder
1 tsps cumin powder
2 cups buttermilk
1 tsp sugar
2 tbsps chopped fresh coriander leaves
Fresh coriander sprigs for garnish

Method

1. Break the rotis into small pieces in a large bowl. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter. Add green chillies and garlic and mix well. Cook till golden brown.
2. Add onions and mix well. Cook till translucent. Add salt and mix well. Cook for 1-2 minutes.
3. Add red chilli powder, coriander powder, and mix well. Cook for 1 minute. Add cumin powder and saut for a few seconds.
4. Add the roti pieces and mix till well combined. Add buttermilk and mix. Cook till the mixture comes to a boil. Add sugar and mix well. Cover and cook for 3-4 minutes.
5. Add coriander leaves and mix.
6. Serve hot garnished with coriander sprig.
