Sabudana (Sago) based dishes are very popular in Maharashtra for breakfast and during fasting times. It is used to prepare Kichidi Sabudana upma is a simple yet delicious dish speically made during fasts - sago cooked with potatoes and crushed peanuts.

ingredients

1 bunch coriander leaves
2 tsp cumin seeds
1 sprigs curry leaves
3-4 number green chilies
1 tsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
1 tbsp oil
1 number ONION
1/2 cup peanut powder
2 cup sago (tapioca)
to taste salt
1 tsp sugar ( optional)
1/2 tsp urad wash


Directions

1. Soak sago in water for 3 hrs . Drain the water and keep it aside . sometimes the sago needs to be rinsed in a little bit of water).

In pan add oil, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, urad dal, onions salt, turmuric, chopped green chillies, curry leaves, mix well then add sago mix well and cook for 5min then add crushed peanuts and mix well and close it with a lid for 4min and lastly top it of with lime juice, and coriander.serve hot
