Murgh Musallam

Ingredients for Chicken Preparation:
NESTL MILKPAK yogurt 1 pack
Red chilli powder 2 tbsp
Coriander powder 1 tbsp
Cumin powder 1 tbsp
Salt 1 tsp
Lemon juice 2 tbsp
Tandoori masala 2 tbsp
Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
Whole chicken 1 kg
Boiled eggs 3-4
Oil as required

Ingredients for Nuts Pulao:
Oil 1/4 cup
Cumin seeds 1 tbsp
Cashew nuts cup
Almonds cup
Aloo Bukhara (dried) 1/4 cup
Salt 1 tbsp
Black pepper crushed 1 tsp
Water 3 cups
Soaked rice 2 cups

Ingredients for Almond cashew nut paste:
Almonds cup
Cashew nuts cup
Water 2 tbsp

Ingredients for Murgh Musalam Gravy:
Oil cup
Onion paste 1 cup
Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
Tomato puree 1 cup
Red chilli powder 1 tbsp
Coriander powder 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder tsp
Salt 1 tsp
NESTL MILKPAK yogurt 1 cup
Almond cashew paste cup
Leftover marinade
Water 1 cup
Fried chicken
Green coriander (chopped) for garnishing

Directions for Chicken Preparation:
1. In a bowl add NESTL MILKPAK Yogurt, red chili powder, tandoori masala, coriander powder, cumin powder, salt, lemon juice, ginger garlic paste and mix it well.
2. Now place whole chicken in the marinade and marinate it well.
3. Place boiled eggs into the whole chicken and tie the legs with threads and wooden sticks.
4. Marinate the chicken for 4-5 hours.
5. In a pot heat oil and place marinated chicken. Shallow fry each side for 3-4 mins or until 50% done. Set aside.
Directions for Nuts Pulao Preparation:
6. In a pot heat oil and add cumin seeds, cook for a minute.
7. Add cashew nuts, almonds, aloo Bukhara and cook for another minute.
8. Add water, salt, black pepper crushed and cook until it starts to boil.
9. Now add rice and cook until 80% water absorbs. Cover and steam over low flame for 10-15 mins. Set aside.
Directions for Almond Cashew Nut Paste Preparation:
10. In a blender add almonds, cashew nuts, water and blend it well. Set aside.
Directions for Murgh Musallam Gravy Preparation:
11. In a pot heat oil and add onion paste. Cook for a minute.
12. Add ginger garlic paste, tomato puree, coriander powder, red chili powder, turmeric powder, salt, almond cashew nut paste and cook for 4-5 mins.
13. Add NESTL MILKPAK yogurt and cook for 1-2 mins. Add leftover marinade and cook until oil separates.
14. Now add water and bring it to a simmer.
15. Place fried chicken in this gravy and cover and cook for 15-20 mins or until chicken is fully done.
16. Serve it with prepared nuts pulao and enjoy. Your Murgh Musallam is ready.
