The soft spongy texture and small size of it is what makes it different from the others.SET DOSAIngredients ½ cup short grain rice, soaked and drained ⅓ cup parboiled rice, soaked and drained ½ cup split black gram (urad dal), soaked and drained 2 tablespoons thick pressed rice (poha), soaked in 4 tablespoons yogurt 1 teaspoon castor sugar Salt to taste Oil as required 1 medium onion Method 1. Blend together short grain rice, parboiled rice, black gram and pressed rice with sufficient water to a smooth paste. Transfer in a bowl. 2. Add castor sugar and salt, mix well and set aside to ferment for 8-10 hours. 3. Heat a non-stick tawa and spread oil on it with an onion. Pour a ladleful of the fermented batter on it and spread into a disc. Cover and cook till evenly done from both sides, basting with oil. 4.
