Soya Chaap | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

Soybean dough rolled on sugarcane sticks coated with gram flour, yogurt fried to perfection.

SOYA CHAAP
Ingredients
1 ½ cup Soya beans, soaked
½ cup refined flour? Rice flour
Salt to taste
½ cup yogurt
2-3 tbsps gram flour
?
¼ tsp turmeric powder
½ tsp red chilli powder
¼ tsp garam masala powder
Oil for deep frying

Method
1. Grind the soya beans into a fine puree. Add water in required. Transfer into a bowl.
2. Take flour in a bowl. Add the prepared paste and salt, Mix well and keep aside.
3. Take a portion of the dough and shape it into a round roti and cut it into ½ inch thick strips. Wrap sugarcane sticks with the strips. Boil the wrapped sugar cane strips for 4-5 minutes. Transfer into a bowl of ice. Remove and keep aside.
4. Take yogurt in a large bowl. Add gram flour, ? , urmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, ginger garlic paste, lemon juice and mix well. Add salt and red chilli powder and mix.
5. Coat the prepared chaps with the mixture, then dip in cornstarch slurry and soya mince and deep fry till golden brown in colour.
6. Drain on absorbent paper ad serve hot.
