Soya Nugget Pulao | Recipes Under 15 Minutes | Chef Jaaie | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

Soybean Granules are rich source of fiber and protein along with carbohydrates. Soyabean and rice is a good way of getting wholesome nutrition and taste. 

SOYA NUGGET PULAO

Ingredients

1½ cups Basmati rice, soaked for 20 minutes and drained
1½ cups soya nuggets, soaked for 20 minutes and drained
2 tablespoons oil
1 teaspoon cumin seeds (jeera)
1 inch ginger, grated
2 medium tomatoes, sliced
Salt to taste
¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
½ teaspoon garam masala powder
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1 teaspoon red chilli powder
½ cup green peas, blanched
Fresh coriander sprig for garnishing

Method

1. Heat oil in a pressure cooker. Add cumin seeds and sauté till they change colour. Add ginger, tomatoes and salt, mix and cook on medium heat for 3 minutes.
2. Add soya nuggets, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, coriander powder and chilli powder and mix well.
3. Add rice and mix. Add 3 cups water, mix, cover and pressure cook for 5-6 minutes. Remove from heat, set aside for 5 minutes and open the lid when the pressure is completely released.
4. Add green peas and mix well.
5. Serve hot garnished with a coriander sprig.
