Spinach in Cheese Pie, a whole meal pizza pie enclosing a filling of garlic, spinach, cheese and sultanas, baked and served warm

SPINACH & CHEESE PIE

Ingredients

¾ cup fresh cream
1 egg
Salt to taste
Black pepper powder to taste
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon garlic, finely chopped
1 medium onion, finely chopped
1 cup spinach, blanched and chopped
50 grams processed cheese, grated

Method

1. Mix together cream, egg, salt and black pepper. Set aside.
2. Heat olive oil in a non-stick pan, add garlic and sauté till fragrant. Add onions and sauté till translucent.
3. Add spinach and cook for 4-5 minutes. Add salt and pepper powder. Mix well.
4. Add cheese and mix well. Set aside to cool down.
5. Mix the prepared spinach mixture with the fresh cream mixture and fill the pie.
6. Fill the prepared mixture in a pre-baked tart. Bake at 180˚ C for 25 minutes.
7. Serve.
