Skim off the scum ad add onion, tomatoes, garlic, cumin seeds, red chili powder, turmeric powder and mix well. Partially cover with lid and cook until dal gets tender over medium low heat. 2. Now add salt, tadka and give it a good mix. Your daal is ready. Directions for Green Chutney Preparation:3. In a jar add mint leaves, coriander, green chilies, garlic, cumin seeds, pomegranate seeds, salt, chaat masala, water and blend well into smooth paste. Your Green Chutney is ready. Set aside.Directions for Chawal Preparation:4. Soak Guard Basmati Rice in a bowl for 20-25 minutes. 5. Heat oil in a pot, add ginger garlic paste and cook for a minute. 6. Add whole spices and cook for another minute. Add water and salt and bring it to a boil. 7. Once the water starts to boil, add soaked rice and cook until 80% water has evaporated.8.
