Ginger Garlic Paste - 1/2 Teaspoon10. Cumin Seeds - 1/2 TeaspoonLet's see how to make ponaganalu stuffed with potato. We will need to use dosa batter for this. For stuffing, other ingredients like grated carrots also could be used. Heat 1 teaspoon oil in pan. Add 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds and fry. Add chopped onions and fry for a minute. Add chopped green chillies, 1/2 teaspoon ginger garlic paste and fry. Add turmeric powder and mix. Add mashed boiled potatoes and mix. Add 1/2 teaspoon chilli powder, 1/2 teaspoon salt and mix. Add chopped coriander leaves and mix. Cut off the stove and let stuffing cool down. Move it into a different bowl. Make small balls out of stuffing by wetting hands with to water. Sizes of balls depend on the size of guntha ponaganalu pan holes/depressions. Heat the guntha ponganalu pan and brush it with oil. Add small amounts of dosa batter. Fill them a little less than half and place stuffing on the batter. Fill it with dosa batter. More oil from top could be added. Close lid and cook on medium for 3-4 minutes. Flip and let the other side cook for 3-4 minutes. Serve hot with favourite chutney.
