While the fusion sounds strange, it tastes downright delicious. SUSHI BURGERIngredients1 cup sushi rice2 tsps vinegar2 tsps castor sugarOil for greasing1 nori sheet, cut into 4 squares½ medium English cucumber1 medium tomato1 avacadoLollo rosso leaves as requiredWasabi mayonnaise for drizzlingSalt to taste12 smoked salmon piecesSesame seeds for sprinklingFrench fries to serveMethod1. Heat a non-stick deep pan, add sushi rice and add 2 cups water. Add salt, and mix well. Cover and cook till the rice is completely cooked.2. Add vinegar and sugar. Mix well and transfer to a plate to allow to cool. 3. Grease the palms of the hands with oil and take a portion of the rice and press it firmly into a ring cookie mould to shape it like a patty. De-mould and set aside.4. Thinly slice English cucumber, thinly slicetomato. Cut an avocado in half and set aside.5. For one portion serving, place a rice patty on a serving plate.Drizzle wasabi mayo and tear lollo rosso lettuce leaf and place it on top of the mayo.6. Slice and add a few pieces of avocado on top. Sprinkle salt and place a little shredded purple cabbage. Place a few slices of cucumber and a few of tomatoes. Place a piece of lettuce and drizzle the mayo on top. 7. Place a few slices of tomato and sprinkle a little salt on top. 8. Place a nori sheet square and place a 3 smoked salmon pieces. Drizzle a little wasabi mayo and place another layer of rice patty.
